"Is it true that VirusTotal has a virus? I'm not sure!"
Honestly, I haven't used it myself, but I've heard folks mention that "VirusTotal" might have a virus and that it can’t be used safely. I’m curious to give it a shot, but I’m a bit skeptical since I’m worried about my computer getting infected. So, I’m left wondering if there’s any truth to the claims about VirusTotal having a virus.

"Essential Security Tool for Everyone"
This is the top-notch free service you can find to ensure the safety of websites. Some sites still raise red flags, so I recommend steering clear of them if VirusTotal gives them a clean bill of health.
Thanks a ton!

"Handy tool for scanning files and info"
I primarily utilize VirusTotal to check out files and websites. It allows me to analyze a file and see results from various antimalware databases, which gives me a more comprehensive overview. The free service they offer is super useful.

"More Trouble Than It's Worth"
1. Customer support is totally ignoring my requests. There's a complete lack of interest in understanding the issue and taking any responsibility.
2. It features some absurd antivirus programs that really shouldn't be taken seriously, as they flag almost anything as harmful just to look busy; otherwise, no one would even notice these silly AVs.
3. This leads to a situation where VirusTotal, when used by regular folks (not developers or IT pros), becomes a hassle because three negative results from unknown antivirus programs can easily freak out the average user.
This is a real disservice to countless developers and software companies.
VirusTotal continues to list these ridiculous antivirus programs just to inflate their numbers, and honestly, I think giving it one star is being generous; it deserves a negative rating since it's harmful to developers.

"Top Site for Scanning Files and Domains for Viruses"
I've been using this site for quite a while now, and it's truly one of the top places to check downloaded files for malware, pulling results from over 70 antivirus tools. Plus, it can show how a file behaves by listing all the files it generates, the domains it contacts, the process tree, and user feedback can help figure out if the file is really harmful or just a false alarm. It can also check if a website is spreading malware by providing scan results from a wide array of antivirus programs. This site has really helped me stay safe while browsing.

"Reliable and speedy"
This has rescued me from malware on several occasions, though it can occasionally flag things incorrectly. All in all, it's a good idea to run this before grabbing any files online.

"This site is the real deal for scanning"
This site is the real deal for scanning. It employs around 70 different engines to analyze a file. Some folks claim it’s a bogus scan because it flagged a couple of items, but that’s what’s known as a 'false positive.' This often happens with game developers and such. I’ve been testing a bunch of files using a Virtual Machine (VM). Pro tip: If you’re planning to run viruses, definitely use a VM instead of your main machine. Trust me, I’ve made that blunder, and let’s just say dealing with ransomware is no joke. It’s really, really bad.

"Not Completely Accurate"
I use this every day before grabbing stuff, but just the other day, I ran a download link through it. It claimed it was safe, so I went ahead and downloaded it, only to find out it was a virus. Shaking my head.

"Yet Another Headache for Software Creators!"
Major issues:
1) The way scanning works varies significantly across many engines when compared to what a typical desktop user experiences.
2) It features absurd antivirus programs that really shouldn’t even be taken into account, as they label nearly everything as harmful just to get attention; otherwise, these silly AVs would go unnoticed.
3) Consequently, when regular folks use VirusTotal (not developers or IT experts), it becomes a hassle because three negative results from obscure antivirus programs can easily freak out the average user.
This situation is detrimental to countless developers and software companies.
VirusTotal continues to list these nonsensical AVs just to inflate their numbers, and honestly, giving it 1 star feels too generous; it deserves a negative rating since it harms developers.
